Hi everyone! I am new to this board. For years I have been highlighting my light brown hair with golden blonde highlights. My former stylist put the foils on every other strand so I had sort of a zebra stripes look. Well, After a long while I got sick of it and my root were growing in, so I decided to try to go back to my natural light brown color myself. I got an ash blond color, not knowing that it would turn the formerly blond pieces a grayish-purple-green color. I went to a salon the next day,and the guy dyed my hair a DARK brown with a semi-permanent dye. Well, it was a shock to have my hair this color. I hate it. I have been doing lots of deep conditoning and I have an appt. to get some highlight next week. I guess I just need some advice. What is the least damaging way to do this? I want to get rid of this dark color and have dirty blond hair with lighter golden pieces too! HELP ME! Sorry so long, but I really need advice on what to do. TIA!

A couple of months ago, I also had quite a shock when they lowlighted my hair and the overall result was way darker then I wanted it to be. I went back the next day and they removed the lowlights with a colour remover. I went back to a nice light, golden blond. I don't know whether too much time has passed, since they darkened it, but I would look into a colour remover. They simply shampood it in my hair and left it for about 5 minutes and rinsed it off. It was very easy to correct.
